The Executive Vice-President of FASTWEB (Milan, Nuovo Mercato: FWB), Carlo Micheli, resigned today from the Board of Directors of FASTWEB and from his responsibilities on the company's internal Budget and Business Plan Committee, maintaining his stake in FASTWEB, presently at 9.985% following the underwriting of the recent capital increase.

Milan, 20 May 2005 - The Executive Vice-President of FASTWEB (Milan, Nuovo Mercato: FWB), Carlo Micheli, resigned today from the Board of Directors of FASTWEB and from his responsibilities on the company's internal Budget and Business Plan Committee, maintaining his stake in FASTWEB, presently at 9.985% following the underwriting of the recent capital increase.

Mr. Micheli specified that he intends to dedicate himself fulltime to other activities and that his involvement in new projects is not compatible with a continued role in FASTWEB. The company expresses its appreciation of his contribution in developing the successful FASTWEB business model and wishes Carlo Micheli every success in his new initiatives.
