With reference to the news in today's financial daily MF
Milan, November 10th 2004 - e.Biscom (Milan, Nuovo Mercato: EBI), Italy's leading broadband telecommunications company, with reference to what has been published in today's MF about the refinancing of the ? 948 million bank facility, highlights:
- No refinancing is currently underway. e.Biscom and a pool of banks comprising Unicredit Banca Mobiliare, Interbanca, Abn Amro and Bnp - Paribas carried out such refinancing on August 6th 2004 as already reported to the market and disclosed in e.Biscom 1H 2004 report;
- the pool of banks is currently just syndicating the above mentioned facility with other primary national and international financial institutions;
- no pledge over e.Biscom's shares has been and will be granted to the banks, even after completion of the merger process between e.Biscom and its fully owned subsidiary FastWeb.
