Fastweb announces the appointment of Andrea Lasagna as Technology Officer. Lasagna, who reports directly to Managing Director, Alberto Calcagno, is taking on responsibility for the technology areas and operations processes relating to the network, data centres and IT infrastructure. Previously, since joining the company in 1999, during Fastweb's start-up phase, he handled the IP network development to broadband and the roll-out of the implementation plan of national backbone network and data, voice and video services. Then, from 2011, he held the role of Head of Network Engineering, in which he was responsible for the landline and mobile technologies.
Born in 1967 in Monza, Andrea Lasagna has worked for some years in the telecommunications sector, in the companies Digital Equipment, Omnitel and Kraft Foods, covering roles with increasing responsibility, following activities to linked the development and implementation of IP networks.
