Fastweb revolutionises customer care activities and brings back to Italy part of the activities carried out abroad
The agreement signed with the new supplier Concentrix provides for the transfer to Italy of part of the customer care services currently being carried out abroad and for the creation of about 250 jobs at Cagliari and Lecce.
Fastweb: NeXXt Generation 2025 kicks off
Launch of the new Ultra FWA Network in 50 cities to bring connectivity up to 1 Gb/s to medium-small sized cities, with double speed from 1 to 2.5 Gb/s for 4 million families on the FTTH network and the opening of the 5G mobile network for all customers without any additional costs: Fastweb launches its plan by which, by 2025, it commits to make available to all the families and companies a gigabit-type connectivity. Transparency and social responsibility combined with technological leadership are the pillars of the project.
Fastweb announces Q3 2020 results: 29th consecutive quarter of growth for broadband customers, revenues and margins.
For the first nine months of the year Fastweb reports 2.704 thousand customers – up 4% on the same period of 2019 – and revenues at 1.674 million Euro, (+ 6% on previous year). Margins grow too with EBITDA-aL at 529 million Euro (+5% compared to third quarter 2019). Mobile segment continues its double digits growth: 1.889 thousand customers at the end of Q3, up 14% compared to previous year.
Cyber security, Fastweb acquires 70% of the 7Layers company
The 7Layers agreement is also part of the broader strategy of the positioning of Fastweb in the market as an OTT Infrastructured operator, also within the Cyber Security field, a component that is increasingly more relevant for the Enterprise sector.
Fastweb announces first half 2020 results: 28th consecutive quarter of growth for broadband customers, revenues and margins
At June 30th Fastweb reports 2,692 million wireline customers – up 4% on 1H 2019 – and revenues for 1.105 million Euro, up 5% on previous year. Margins register growth with EBITDA-AL marking a +5% compared to previous year. Also in the second quarter of the year – despite the Covid-19 emergency and the extensive use of smart-working by 100% of employees – Fastweb strengthened its position in the market ensuring full operativity of network and cloud services to its customers.
Fastweb and Linkem extend their agreement for the deployment of 5G Fixed Wireless Access networks in digital divide areas
The deal signed today extends the footprint of 8 million households envisaged by the original agreement signed in December to an additional 4 million households in digital divide areas. The 5G FWA represents an efficient and cost-effective solution to bring ultra-broadband connectivity in areas with low population density.
Fastweb acquires Cutaway to allow continued growth in the Cloud and ICT services market
Fastweb has embarked on the acquisition of Cutaway, a company specialising in ICT projects, and of its subsidiary Cutaway Solution, with the aim of strengthening its position as a Cloud services provider in the Enterprise market through the development innovative, reliable and secure solutions and the consolidation of its internal ICT competence centre.
