The project at a glance

AIS4UM creates a cooperative and predictive digital platform that integrates and analyzes real-time data from multiple sources, supports rapid decision-making in emergency situations, enables cooperative V2X services, and reconstructs incidents in 3D. Thanks to advanced conversational agents, it also ensures immediate and intuitive interaction with the user. The project, with a duration of 30 months, has received public funding of approximately €4 million out of a total investment exceeding €10 million.

The role of Fastweb + Vodafone

As the lead partner of the Consortium, Fastweb + Vodafone provides:

  • advanced AI models based on the sovereign LLM MIIA, specialized in the Smart City domain;
  • the NeXXt AI Factory supercomputer, ensuring high computational capacity for training and running models even in high-intensity scenarios;
  • low latency, high bandwidth capacity, and high reliability of the 5G network;

Expected results

With AIS4UM, cities become safer:

  • up to a 20% reduction in accidents thanks to intelligent traffic monitoring;
  • identification of over 70% of collisions and real-time alerts to relevant authorities;
  • detailed 3D reconstruction of incidents in less than 12 hours;
  • over 95% accuracy in event detection and validation.

A diverse partnership with high technological, operational and innovation management skills. In addition to Fastweb+Vodafone, industrial and research companies with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, IoT, video analytics, wearable devices, V2X services and 3D reconstruction are present.
