FASTWEB S.p.A. (Milan, MTAX: FWB), Italy's second-largest fixed telecommunications services provider, announces that as of 1st July 2009 Peter Burmeister will be the new Chief Financial Officer and will be charged with the preparation of the Company financial reports.
Mario Rossi, who has been FASTWEB's CFO since the completion of the Swisscom public tender offer in May 2007, will return to Switzerland where he will become head of Business Steering for Swisscom Switzerland. Previously Mario Rossi had been CFO of Swisscom Fixnet for four years and thus has a profound knowledge of Swisscom.

Peter Burmeister, German, 45 years old, degree in industrial engineering, has covered roles of responsibility in many European companies including Mannesmann Hartmann & Braun, SMS Demag and DPD GeoPost. During his career, Peter Burmeister was Managing Director of SMS Demag in Italy for six years.

Mario Rossi, che ha ricoperto il ruolo di CFO dal momento dell'OPA di Swisscom nel maggio 2007, farà ritorno in Svizzera dove assumerà la carica di responsabile del Business Steering di Swisscom Svizzera. Il rientro in Svizzera di Mario Rossi rappresenta il ritorno di un profondo conoscitore di Swisscom che, prima di assumere la carica presso FASTWEB, ha svolto per quattro anni la funzione di CFO di Swisscom Fixnet.

Peter Burmeister, tedesco, 45 anni, laureato in Ingegneria, ha ricoperto ruoli di responsabilità in diverse aziende europee, quali Mannesmann Hartmann & Braun, SMS Demag e DPD GeoPost. Nel corso della sua carriera, Peter Burmeister ha rivestito la carica di Amministratore Delegato di SMS Demag in Italia.
